World Ends In 2012: True Prophecy... . A Mystery Or The Begin of Satya-Yug?

Heart- thundering news, 'World ends in 2012', is this a true foresight? How can we be convinced about this? Something will definitely happen on Friday of last week of December 2012? Does it mean that only panic tragedy will take place may be something positive takes place, transformation may come to make history?

We will take our last breath on 21st December 2012, Is this just a rumor, a true prophesy or still a mystery? It may seem a mystery. Because, many of us are still not ready to accept this prophecy. You must have heard 'Many men many mind'. In fact, some ordinarily say that all this is just fictional foretells and do not encompass any verity. But what about that prophecies which were explained in Hindu's Scripture- 'Vedas', Christian's Holy Bible and Mesoamerican's Mayan Long Count Calendar'? Are these all spurious conceptions or did they truthfully forecast something very momentous to us? It is beyond belief that the World will completely fall into a giant disaster on the noted date 21.12.2012. This sounds like a mourning bell :'World ends in 2012, how dreadful that day will be! But will it happen for sure?

To broaden this issue, let us have a look on some well know prophecies; according to the Vedic Scriptures, this material world has four cycles for the life-existence, these cycles are broadly called 'Yugas' or 'Ages'- Golden age, Silver age, bronze age and lastly the Iron age. The world has already gone through the three ages.

The First age is the Golden age, which is also known as Satya-yuga. In this Yuga or Age, man used to solemnly believe in honesty, truth, peace and politeness. This age had its existence till 1,728,000 years. It has also been mentioned that the charismatic and idyllic prince of Ayodhya -'Bhagwan Ram' or 'Lord Rama', the Supreme God in Hinduism, took birth on the earth as a human -avatar in this age.

Second age is 'the Silver age' or 'Treta-yuga', which has its existence till 1,296,000 years. The Bronze or Dvapara-yuga is the third age which had existence for 864,000 years. Lord Krishna came in this age and threw light on holy descriptions of 'Bhagavad Gita'.

And, finally, the last one is 'the Iron age' or 'Kali-yuga' .Vedic -scriptures expressed that this age will exist for 432,000 years. Kali-yuga or 'yuga of kali' is just opposite to the world of Satya-yuga. We are living at the closing stage of this yuga. That is why, many of us opine, 'world ends in 2012', means, the life-existence of material world for this age will end. But that does not mean that we all will die in 2012. It may be like four seasons in a year, when one seasons goes another comes, when the second season goes the third comes, and similarly the cycle of season continues in a repeated phase. In the same way, Kali-yug will complete its life-cycle and another cycle of yug probably Satya-yug will be back!

Moreover, many people accept the predictions of 'Long Count Calendar' or 'Mayan Calendar' (used in Maya Civilization of Pre-Columbian Mesoamerica), that there would be 12-cycles of time for the life and it would finish at the 13th cycle. Each cycle has around 394 years. Currently, we are at 12th cycle of time, which will end on 20.12.2012. The Mayan foresight, scares people that something will dramatically happen just after 20th December. Will it be 2012 Doomsday or Apocalypse in 21.12.2012?

No one actually knows from where Mayan people came, but some ancient believes reveal, they were extremely advanced in mathematics. Their advanced calculations and creative crafts were splendid and amazing. In fact, many of their advance scholars speak of future events on particular date and they have proved correct.It is assumed, they were the ancient tribe of Central American Indians who made their presence in the rainforests of the Yucatan Peninsula of Central America in 2500 BCE. That time they were only known as 'Olmecs', later, they were popular as 'Maya' -Native American people of southern Mexico and northern Central America. Maya people were responsible for establishing and developing a Calendar of far greater range and duration where dates were written in Meso-American numerals- this calendar is known as Long Count Calendar. The calendar identified that the actually time cycle of life in the world is 13 b'ak'tuns, which is equal to 18, 70,000 days or approximately equal to 5125.36 years. At the very beginning, the calendar gave reading as 0.0.0.0.0 or 'zero -year', and calculated, world will meet to the end of the age when it will show 13.0.0.0.0, means 13 b'ak'tuns or 13th cycle. The calendar shows reading in this way; 0.0.0.0.1-it means 1 kin or one day, 0.0.1.0.0, it means 18 winal or 360 days, 0.1.0.0.0 means 7200 days, 1.0.0.0.0 is read as 144,000. Mayan calendar will show this reading on 21st December 2012, though many believe that the end of the age does not mean the end of life from world. What one can concude from this is that Maya people understood the cyclic nature of Solar system and they spoke that the end of an age may bring some natural calamities.

Well this may or may not be, the debate amongst different schools of thought continue .So whereas Hindu-mythology opines that after the end of Kali-Yug (Iron -age), once again Satya-Yug will open the door. some scientific conviction,predicts planet alignment and that a new planet Nibiru will get close to earth, most probably on 21.12.2012, which will create massive disaster and may completely wipe out the living surroundings from the globe.

However, these foresights are just imagination of human minds, but we can't absolutely say that the predicted events will happen for sure. ITo conclude in our opinion we should enjoy each and every moment of our life without worrying about world disaster 'thinking that we are nearing the predicted doomsday 21.12.2012'.
