The battle lines for the upcoming May 2019 general lok sabha elections has already started being drawn by all the major political parties in India. Congress is riding on hopes of its close shave loss in the Prime minister's home turf Gujarat in 2017 and also not allowing the BJP to come to power in the recently concluded Karnataka elections.
